Anti-trust authorities authorize S&T's acquisition of a 24.8% stake in Kontron AG

Austria's Competition Authority has joined Germany's Anti-Trust Authority in authorizing S&T AG's acquisition of a 24.8% stake in Kontron AG, Augsburg

Linz, November 9, 2016. Austria's Competition Authority (Bundeswettbewerbsbehörde) has joined Germany's Anti-Trust Authority (Bundeskartellamt) in authorizing S&T AG's acquisition of a 24.8% stake in Kontron AG, Augsburg, Germany. Austria's anti-trust authorities informed S&T that their ban on the performance of the merger will lapse as of November 10, 2016. The suspensory condition agreed upon with Warburg Pincus and Triton Partners and applying to the acquisition of Kontron shares has thus been fulfilled. As a result, and via its subsidiary in Germany, S&T AG now has a 29.9% stake in Kontron AG.
